Why I send people here
By the time most couples get to me they are exhausted, and the honeymoon is the last thing on a very long list. That is exactly why it should not be another thing you have to organise.
The practical stuff first. Passport names have to match the ticket, and if the surname is changing, that has to be timed properly or it becomes a problem at check in. Travel insurance should be in place before the wedding, not before the flight. And somebody needs to be reachable while you are away, which is where I come in.
Then the actual trip. My honest advice is two bases, not one. A few nights somewhere quiet where you sleep and recover, then somewhere with a bit more life once you feel human again. Doing it the other way round almost never works.
